1.0 DEFINITIONS

 

  • Arrthi: Is the trading name for: Mrs Arrthi Little, Freelance Cartoonist.

  • Content: Means works such as but not limited to: character designs, cartoons, logos, animation, stories, sketches, illustrations, artwork, comics, design, ebooks, comic books, picture books, patterns, layout, symbols, fonts, music, voice over and sound effects.

  • Brands: Means a collection of our content grouped into a single project, where the works such as but not limited to designs, characters and stories fit into a coherent and tradable Intellectual property.

  • Intellectual property (IP) portfolio: Is the grouping of the different IP projects. Different projects or ‘brands’ fall under their own separate IP.  This is so individual brands can be sold to different businesses.

  • Materials: All materials used in communication of the IP such as but not limited to: catalogues, brochures, books, brandbooks, and films.

  • Site: The website www.Arrthi.com is owned and managed by Arrthi.

  • Services: Means the services we use to conduct business activities.

  • Arrthi is the owner and originator of all content within Arrthi’s materials. The intellectual property contained within Arrthi designs and products is protected by copyright law. 

  • No part of the material, including the product designs themselves, may be copied, reproduced, scanned, stored or transmitted in any way, either physically or electronically, unless permission is given by Arrthi in writing.

3.0 DISCLAIMER

 

  • All work by Arrthi is fictitious and completely original. Any similarities to actual persons or events are purely coincidental. 

  • I do not copy or use anyone else's artwork ever.  If a reference to another artist is made it will clearly be credited.

  • If you feel that a piece of my work infringed on your copyright or not given credit please come to me and I will look to resolve it as soon as possible.

  • For clarification, I am working on projects that can take years to develop, so I catalogue and date all my ideas. In the field of art it’s only reasonable to expect more than one person will come up with similar concepts and designs. I have absolutely no interest in copying others. I am only interested in creating original work.

6.0 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

  • Arrthi’s Intellectual property portfolio is a collection of brands, including but not limited to: Arrthi, House of Arrthi, Jono Bowstar, Marty of Bubblington, Rameni, Totally Cute Sea, Dinosaurs Roarsome Legends, Baby Sea, Planets The famous balls of Gas and Rock, Cheeky Legends, Pebble Dash and Little Aliens Universe.

  • We are in the process of developing new brands all the time and while under development will remain a trade secret and not be disclosed outside of our organisation.

  • We regularly take stock of our IP assets by an internal ‘IP Audit’.

  • Our brands are treated as separate entities allowing us to trade individually on their own terms.

  • Within each brand our IP is further defined by Classes.  These classes allow us to trade our brands through different avenues defined by our trademark.

 

7.0 PRIVACY POLICY

 

7.1 Why we need your data:

  • Allow us to run our website so we can communicate our services.

  • Respond to any feedback and requests you send us, if you’ve asked us to.

  • Provide you with information about our services.

 

7.2 What we do with your data:

  • We do not store details or share customer details with any 3rd parties. We will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party without your permission.

  • Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to communicate our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.

  • If you have subscribed to one of our newsletters or advised us of your email address, post or phone number we may occasionally update you on news and special opportunities via email.

 

7.3 Your rights:

  • You have the right to request: information about how your personal data is processed, a copy of that personal data, that anything inaccurate in your personal data is corrected immediately.

  • You can also: raise an objection about how your personal data is processed, request that your personal data be erased if there is no longer a justification for it, ask that the processing of your personal data is restricted in certain circumstances.

8.1 Views:

  • We don’t endorse any political or religious views in person or via social networking.

  • We are not liable for any comments made by family or friends on social media, websites, articles etc.

  • We do not endorse every request or social matter.

  • We champion equality and treat everyone without bias.

 

8.2 What our core values are:

  • High quality.

  • Family entertainment.

  • Nothing offensive. Ever! But fart jokes are encouraged. 

  • It has to be ‘official’, and what we mean by that is, producing work does not look out of place alongside current market leaders.

  • My work is to always be inclusive of everyone and universally age appropriate family entertainment. 

  • Culturally diverse, being an underrepresented ethinic minority myself I drive the importance of incorporating diversity and inclusion.

  • I have a passion for animals and want to support them in any way I can.

  • Decisions I make take into account protecting the environment as best as I can.

 

9.0 COMMISSIONS

 

9.1 Notice:

  • We create exclusive artwork for our clients.  Therefore it's not possible for us to design outside these contracts (including favours for family or friends), as this would inflict on our contractual agreements.

 

9.2 Process:

  • I will start work once a budget and terms have been agreed. Terms will include - hiring Arrthi to design, and I will retain the copyright - I will licence work at a yearly fee (cost will depend on scale) - or sell a perpetual licence.

  • Minimum hire requirement starts as a single daily rate of £375 (VAT not applicable). 

  • If work is completed within the budget, the budget will be honoured for up to 12 months after the work has been signed off.

 

9.3 Project examples:

  • Character design - I offer full character design services, including turnarounds, posses, expressions, outfits, stylesheets, colouring etc.

  • Illustrations - I offer services for all illustration projects, such as picture books, book covers, greeting cards etc.

  • Logo design - I will create and develop a logo for your company/project.

  • Branding - I will brand your company and provide the following; logo(s), stylesheet (colour profile, guidelines, font’s etc.), templates (Headers, broches layouts, corporate presentation slides etc.), patterns etc.

  • Consultancy - I offer a consultancy service on a project basis where I can offer feedback and suggestions on my specialist subject character designs.

  • Websites - Due to the technicalities of website design, I am unable to create or manage websites at this time.  However, I can offer a design input or create graphics for a website.
